Project Overview
In close partnership with the Southeast Asia subsidiary of Trust Fall Technology Group, Solaire Resorts sought to elevate their nightlife spaces into new concepts of a live performance venue and high-rise lounge. Trust Fall was tapped for our expertise in cutting edge technology within live entertainment and Direct View LED markets, along with world class design and visualization services.
Challenges
Design Constraints: During early phases of the design process, we were given a firm directive to hide as many production elements as possible in both spaces to maintain a high-level guest experience. This required exploration of state of the art lighting and development of a new mirror finish LED module never seen in the market before.
Environmental Constraints: The spaces demanded tailored designs that limited demolition and new construction. As-built drawings were rudimentary and inaccurate, leading to frequent on-site adjustments.
Materials Sourcing: Integration teams faced difficulty finding common hardware components readily available in North American markets.
Execution
Trust Fall’s industry-leading design team invested countless hours of revisions and renderings to find the perfect intersection of new technology with seamless integration. Working closely with leading manufacturers in Direct View LED, a mirror finish module was developed over countless revisions, achieving perfect smoothness and a uniformity unlike any other product currently available. This perfectly achieved the desired hidden state when inactive while providing a stunning digital backdrop when active. Transparent surface-affixed displays with an astounding 97% VLT were also developed with select custom component upgrades and applied to exterior windows in the high-rise lounge, allowing for both incredible skyline vistas during the daytime and immersive dynamic content at evening hours. Lighting fixtures were recessed via hidden pockets and clever use of embedded hardware, dramatically reducing their visual signature.
Results
Trust Fall’s multi-national and extensively experienced integration teams fostered tight collaboration with local partners to rapidly adapt and overcome all hurdles faced. The end result was a guest experience in perfect synergy with the high standards set by Solaire Resorts. This spectacular intersection of entertainment and emerging technology sets a new benchmark for entertainment and hospitality across Southeast Asia.
